We pick you up from your hotel or Airbnb in Cusco between 4:00 and 5:00 am. Then we begin the journey toward the town of Cusipata, enjoying the early morning landscapes of the Andes.
Breakfast in Cusipata
Upon arrival in Cusipata, we stop for breakfast before continuing to the starting point of the hike. This gives you time to prepare, adjust to the altitude and begin the adventure with energy.
Hike to Rainbow Mountain Vinicunca
Once we reach the trailhead, we begin the hike toward Rainbow Mountain. The walk takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, crossing high-Andean landscapes surrounded by mountains, local communities and views of the Ausangate area. Horses are available for rent if needed.
Rainbow Mountain Viewpoint
At the Vinicunca viewpoint, your guide will give you a short explanation about the area, the natural colors of the mountain and the surrounding landscape. You will also have free time to explore, rest and take unforgettable photos of Rainbow Mountain.
Return to Cusco
